Hannah

Coming from a sporting background Hannah always knew she wanted to be a physiotherapist. A genuine people person, she loves learning how the body functions and solving the puzzle when it is not working well. Hannah enjoys the challenge of tailoring treatment to each individual and ensuring her clients fully understand what the problem is, and what to expect in the rehab process. She believes education, movement, and being consistent is the best combination for a successful recovery.

Hannah uses a range of techniques including manual therapy and dry needling, but has a predominant focus in exercise-based therapy and likes to get people out of the treatment room and actively rehabilitating as soon as suitable. She works with athletes from a number of different sports including cricket, basketball, hockey, athletics and swimming. Hannah currently holds the contract for services with High Performance Sport New Zealand for the Hawke’s Bay region, and with New Zealand Cricket for the the Central Districts women’s team.

She has just completed her postgraduate diploma at AUT, and will begin her master’s degree in 2025.

Anna

Anna was raised in Invercargill and developed a love for sports at an early age. With a background in gymnastics, dance, and netball she was in and out of the physiotherapist office a lot. This is where she discovered that physiotherapy was the path she wanted to take. Anna studied at Otago University and moved to Hawke’s Bay to complete her final year and has fallen in love with the sense of community here.

Anna believes that the best rehabilitation can only be achieved once the patient has a full understanding of their injury. She thinks it is important for individuals to take control of their rehabilitation while she is there to provide education and guidance throughout the process. Anna has a particular interest in helping individuals incorporate their sports and hobbies into their treatment to help develop a sense of enjoyment in their recovery.

She is passionate about tailored exercise prescription and assisting individuals returning to sport and their favourite activities.
